We are seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team at AEF Engineering, a leading provider of electromechanical products and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the service and maintenance of a range of electromechanical products, including drills, impactors, grinders, and electrically powered drills. This position is based in our workshop in Dublin and requires individuals with various backgrounds such as white goods engineers, electromechanical engineers, or electronic engineers. We are seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team at AEF Engineering, a leading provider of electromechanical products and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the service and maintenance of a range of electromechanical products, including drills, impactors, grinders, and electrically powered drills. This position is based in our workshop in Dublin and requires individuals with various backgrounds such as white goods engineers, electromechanical engineers, or electronic engineers. The key duties include:

  • Conducting service and maintenance activities on a variety of electromechanical products, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
  • Diagnosing faults, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out repairs to ensure proper functionality.
  • Utilizing a range of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals to perform repairs and adjustments.
  • Testing and calibrating tools to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to provide feedback on product performance, reliability, and potential design improvements.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of new tooling and equipment designs.
  • Maintaining detailed records of service and maintenance activities, including parts used and work performed.
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:

  • Background in white goods engineering, electromechanical engineering, electronic engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the service and maintenance of electromechanical products, preferably including drills, impactors, grinders, and electrically powered drills.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing faults in electromechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a team environment.

Package:

  • Salary: €35-42k
  • Pension: 5%
  • Based in a workshop in Dublin.
