Position Overview: Ourclient are seeking a skilled Building Management System (BMS) Engineer with extensive experience in door access control systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing and maintaining BMS solutions, particularly in the context of hospitals, city council buildings, and educational facilities. The role will involve installing, configuring, and troubleshooting BMS and access control systems to ensure seamless operation and maximum security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) tailored to the specific needs of hospitals, city council buildings, and educational institutions.
  • Integrating door access control systems with existing BMS infrastructure.
  • Configure and program BMS controllers, sensors, and actuators to monitor and control building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and security.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including facility managers, security personnel, and IT staff to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify opportunities for system improvements and upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • Proven background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of implementing and maintaining door access control systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in BMS applications such as BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks.
  • In-depth knowledge of door access control technologies, protocols, and standards
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and codes governing building security and access control (e.g., NFPA, ADA, HIPAA).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Building Automation System Technician (BAS-T) are a plus.
