Area Sales Manager - Scotland

The Role: This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious, target driven, resilient and dynamic Area Sales Manager, with a proven track record in both new business development and managing existing accounts, to join one of the UK's largest suppliers of ceramic tiles.

Managing the whole of Scotland, you will represent the company's extensive portfolio of kitchen, bathroom, floor, wall, and outdoor tiles, as well as ancillary products such as grouts and adhesives, that offers their customer base a fantastic range from traditional styles to more modern, and budget to high end.

Initially on joining the business you will spend your time visiting and getting to know the existing accounts within the portfolio, ensuring relationships are strengthened and maintained. Once this has been done, you will split your time between continuing to manage and maximise results through existing accounts, and reaching out to a prospective accounts, taking a consultative approach, networking throughout to seek out key decision makers, conducting a thorough fact find with those individuals.

This is a varied & engaging role, targeting a range of independent retailers & distributors including Builders Merchants, Kitchen & Bathroom Showrooms, Distributors and Tile Retailers, reaching out to the likes of Managers, Owners and Buyers.

This role is a fully home-based role, with the expectation to be out on the road at face-to-face meetings with existing accounts and potential new accounts 4 days per week.

Requirements: To be considered for the Area Sales Manager role you will…

· Have a minimum of 2-3 years prior experience in a B2B field sales position.

· Prior experience having sold either into a similar account base or sold a similar product would be highly advantageous.

· Have a proven track record in hitting targets both in a new business & account management environment.

· Be able to demonstrate that you are dynamic, target driven, credible, tenacious, and resilient with ambition and passion.

The Package for Area Sales Manager

· Basic salary up to £45'000 depending on experience (+ quarterly commission)

· Hybrid company car

· Mobile phone, Laptop, Fuel Card, Opt-In Healthcare, Company Credit Card & Pension.

· 28 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Location The role of Area Sales Manager covers from the whole of Scotland, the ideal candidate can be based anywhere within the territory as long as they are comfortable with any travelling that will be required to do the job.
