The Role: We are excited to be recruiting for one of the most well regarded marketing and consumer information providers in the UK. The successful applicant will enter the business as an Account Manager and inherit 30 – 40 pre-existing customers. These customers will be a blend of marketing agencies and consumer brands who are working with our client to access up to date, industry leading information about behavioural science and its impact on consumer behaviour. Success in this role will be measured on retention of pre-existing accounts, and account expansion through cross/up-selling. This is also a great opportunity for someone who loves face to face sales, as the role will require regular face to face meetings.

The Company: Brands, Charities, Sports clubs and marketing agencies are all desperate to understand their target audience in more depth. Whether a brand is trying to get existing consumers to buy more, or trying to get them to buy for the first time, marketing and product development teams at these companies are increasingly keen to know how people behave, in order to make their offering more appealing. Our client helps with this exact need by compiling world leading research with their own data and analysis to offer the most comprehensive database of information on behavioural science in the industry. Across the UK and Europe, they have a large client base and see 2020 as an exciting year for their growth.

As an Account Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Retaining a base of pre-existing subscribers
  • Using sales skill to open new opportunities within the accounts to increase value
  • Meeting with marketing and product development leaders to sell the value of the product

For this Account Manager role:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a b2b, sales role that ideally incorporates new business and account management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience of media and advertising landscape (desired)
