Business Development Manager - Remote Monitoring Solutions

The Role: The Business Development Manager will be selling a comprehensive after sales and care package for the waste water pumping industry with a primary focus on a remote monitoring solution designed to spot problems before they occur, therefore reducing pump station down time, minimising costly engineering call outs, and reducing the end user's carbon footprint massively. Your role will be to target clients who own pumping stations throughout the UK and to win contracts that remote monitor them for maintenance planning, offer reactive repair services, and full refurbishment services. Clients will include utilities companies, commercial pumping station owners, water boards, facilities management business, and local authorities. The position is national, however you will be supported by a UK network of Technical Engineers who will fulfil the contracts you secure. In addition, you will work closely with the Internal Engineering team based in Camberley and be in the office at least once a week to build & maintain that team ethic. The Business Development Manager role is proactive in nature, however as time goes on you will use your account management skills to renew older contracts and maintain the business you have won.

Their engineering expertise put them at the forefront of the market and their most recent growth in their services division mean they are looking to take advantage of that and give someone the opportunity to really make a name for themselves and grow the fledgling division. They're a professional outfit and look after their people. They are looking for a driven and confident Business Development Manager to join the ranks and push this division on in new markets.

For this role, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

· Have a background in selling service contracts for capital equipment

· Sold into FM, Local Authorities, and Commercial & Industrial End User environments

· Coming from a pumping or remote monitoring background would be hugely advantageous

· Field sales track record in selling service contracts

· Able to commute to head office in Surrey minimum once per week

· Clean Driving license

Package: £45,000 - 60,000 basic salary (experience dependent), 10% bonus, fully expensed company car, pension, laptop, phone, 25 days holiday
