We're partnered with a well-known industry specialist in lighting, who have been providing clients with bespoke, professional and serviced lighting solutions for nearly 4 decades.

About the Role: Bid Manager

Joining their dynamic team based in the East Midlands, UK, you'll take on the role of Bid Manager. Reporting to the Sales Director, you'll be the main person responsible for supporting, driving and managing bids within a typical range of £100,000-£300,000. With the clients' focus on securing big project opportunities, you'll be a figurehead for leveraging their bid proficiency and therefore their growth.

Responsibilities

· Main person responsible for bid management - from identifying to completion

· Build commercial proposals which contain technical content and designs that are to be presented in a professional and concise manner

· Determine the scope and timeline of new bids.

· Lead and coordinate the preparation of bids whilst liaising with other contributors to ensure all information is on time and to the correct standard, whilst also answering the client's needs.

· Develop an understanding of the clients' previous bids - successes and failures

· Develop a set of standard templates for each aspect of the process to ensure less complexity when bidding.

· Conducting internal process improvement when building a bid's framework and maintaining compliance.

Requirements

· Minimum 2 years' experience with extensive bid writing & management

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to work under pressure and to a deadline

· Ability to provide training & guidance to less experienced employees

· Excellent organisational skills

· MSOffice: Word & Outlook

· Lighting, construction or similar sector experience (desirable)

Package:

· Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum

· Holiday: 25 days holiday + bank holidays

· Flexible working hours

· Schedule: Monday to Friday

· Hybrid working environment - 3 days per week in office

· Share scheme

· Commission
