Senior Business Development Manager

Sector: Events

Location: London - a short walk from High Street Kensington Station.

· Basic: £50,000 - £60,000

· Bonus: £31,500 OTE (Uncapped)

The Role: A leading, well-established name in the events industry is seeking a confident, proactive, experienced and proven new business event sales person to join their team. Joining an exciting new launch event within our client's established portfolio, the Senior Business Development Manager will drive new business acquisition. Drawing on their previous exhibition and sponsorship event sales experience, the Senior BDM will reach out to blue chip companies, as well as small startups, to sell high value sponsorship deals and exhibition stands. Comfortable with prospecting, selling and closing stand space and sponsorship options, the Senior Business Development Manager will regular engage with c-level executives across the energy sector.

Visiting the vibrant office four times a week in London, High Street Kensington, the Senior Business Development Manager will enjoy a lively sales office dynamic, sitting with other sales professionals, selling similar packages for other events.

The Future: As this will be a brand new market for our leading client, the Senior Business Development Manager can expect to progress with the expansion of this launch event. Successful overachievers within this position can enjoy generous uncapped commissions and look forward to a clear and achievable progression plan. Following consistent success, the Senior BDM can expect to progress into a senior sales role, a Key Account Manager role or into sales leadership.

Requirements: To be a Business Development Manager in this exciting, well-established, and fast-growing company, you must have:

· 5+ years of B2B event sales experience

· Experience selling exhibition space is a must

· Experience selling sponsorship packages is a must

· Experience cold calling / driving new business is a must

· Experience in the energy/gas industry is desirable

· Experience selling worldwide is desirable

The position of Senior Business Development Manager is based in High Street Kensington, London. The Senior Business Development Manager must go to the office at a minimum of 4 days per week. As such the successful candidate must be commutable to that office.
