Business Development Manager

Location: Coventry - Hybrid working & free parking on office days.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 plus an OTE of £12,000 - £15,000 (uncapped).

The Role: A well-established name in the events industry is seeking a confident, proactive, experienced and proven new business event salesperson to join their team. Joining an exciting event within our client's established portfolio, the Business Development Manager will drive new business acquisition. In charge of the whole new business sales cycle, the Business Development Manager will draw on their existing self-generation skills to open conversations with c-level decision makers. Taking the deal from 'cold to sold' the Business Development Manager will sell sponsorship opportunities and stand space to a variety of sectors. Comfortable with prospecting, pitching and closing via the phone, virtual meetings or face to face meetings, the Business Development Manager will work towards achievable revenue targets.

The Progression: Led by a supportive, ambitious and proven manager, the Business Development Manager will benefit from one-to-one coaching and training, as well as shadowing successful team members. Drawing on their previous new business experience as well as the comprehensive training provided, the successful Business Development Manager will enjoy great progression opportunities. Following consistent results, the Business Development Manager can progress into a senior sales position or into a leadership position.

Requirements: To be a Business Development Manager in this exciting, well-established company, you must have:

  • equirements3+ years of B2B new business sales experience.
  • Proven track record of self-generated new business sales is a must.
  • Previous experience selling in the events industry or medical industry is desirable but not required.
