Global leading engineering contractor seeking a dynamic and driven quantity surveyor to join their immensely successful worldwide business!

Company:

Global leading Engineering Contractor who are specialists in turnkey packages for design, supply and installation of utilities are seeking a quantity surveyor to join their rapidly expanding team. With a base in Dublin our client is working in sectors such as pharmaceutical, hospitals, medical, industrial and building services, this company have working on projects in the multi-millions. Investing heavily in their people and striving to provide an excellent service this company have an outstanding name in the market making this an excellent opportunity.

Role:

This Quantity Surveyor will have the opportunity to work on large projects with world-leading companies, responsible for:

  • Project set up such as budgets for materials, labour and plant items in line with the buying and operations team.
  • Evaluate sub-contractor and contractor terms and conditions with risk, design, and terms & conditions in mind.
  • Prepare tender risk analysis and contract documentation e.g. BOI.
  • Review Site Programmes in respect to delays, disruptions, damage and sub-contract program.
  • Set up and maintain variations logs with feed into costs as outlined above for all client variations and sub-contract variations, including the management and agreement of such variations
  • Project cash flows at set up stage and throughout the duration of works.

The above list is not exhaustive, and the successful QS will be required to take on a variety of other duties when required.

The Person:

We are seeking an experienced engineer who ideally is degree qualified in quantity surveying or comes with strong previous exposure to a similar role.

  • Relevant engineering background e.g. trade/qualification in quantity surveying.
  • Experience with billing and receivables is a prerequisite.
  • Experience within the construction sector environment is desired.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a necessity.
  • Strong technical individuals who are organised and motivated are needed.
