Major global market presence in the manufacturing of building materials are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist (EHSS) in Cavan.
THE COMPANY:
Our client is the market leader in building materials manufacturing. A major authority in the Irish construction industry, our client has been manufacturing in Ireland for nearly 100 years and have been involved in many of the biggest and most prestigious commercial building projects in Ireland during that time. Looking to the future our client is determined to remain at the forefront of the market and with their parent company backing them with their multi billion financial turnover, our client is well placed to excel, and it is due to this that they are seeking an EHSS in Cavan.
THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will be based on site in Cavan and will have the following duties:
- Implement Environmental Health & Safety plan for the business - manage compliance with ISO 14001 and regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with local councils, environmental authorities, and EPA.
- Manage over the companies EHS plan, take samples, and provide training to staff.
- Carry our risk assessments and audits and put together SOPs and method statements.
THE PERSON:
We are looking to speak to applicants from the following backgrounds:
- The ideal candidate will have prior experience with Environmental and Health & Safety functions.
- Will also consider candidates who have only focused on Health & Safety previously.
- Can consider graduates who are qualified with an Environmental Health & Safety degree.
