what was the training need?

Bunzl Cleaning & Hygiene Supplies is the UK’s leading supplier of janitorial, cleaning, and hygiene products. They are part of Bunzl plc, one of the fastest-growing international distribution and outsourcing groups.

They are proud suppliers of over 14,000 products from leading brands and manufacturers.

Their training need:

  • Bunzl had experienced a shift in the strategy and tactics being used by professional buyers operating within their cutomer base. They noticed an increased use in agressive tactics, price driven demands and a non-committal approach to building relationships.
  • The aim of the programme was to create awareness of these tactics and increase confidence when at the negotiating table.

 

WHAT WE DID

Assertive negotiating skills

Designed a series of workshops for the Senior Account Managers and Leadership team to introduce methodology on assertive negotiating skills.

Game plan

This included the use of trading variables, a ‘game plan’ and the commercial playing field.

Interactive workshops

The workshops were practical, interactive and developed around real life customer negotiations.
