Support Engineer (Motors)

About the Company:

Our client, a leading supplier of motors for automated doors and gates in the UK. This role is a Monday - Friday position 8:30-5:30 and is office based.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Remote Fault Finding: Apply expertise in electromechanical systems to remotely diagnose and resolve technical issues with motor products.
  • Customer Support: Deliver professional and timely advice to end customers, ensuring their needs are met, and technical challenges are addressed effectively.
  • Liaison: Communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner, building strong relationships while representing the company's commitment to excellence.
  • Documentation: Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and guides to facilitate customer understanding and troubleshooting.


  • Previous experience as a Service Engineer with a focus on electromechanical systems.
  • Experience in remote fault finding.
  • Knowledge of motors, drives and controls for automated doors and gates is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information and support to customers.
  • Demonstrate a customer-focused approach with a dedication to providing outstanding support and building positive relationships.
