Covering: North of England, based Manchester

Business Insurance & Financial Services

65k basic + car allowance + uncapped commission (90k realistic OTE in 1st year)

We're looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our Manchester based Strategic Account Management team.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Account Management, you will be responsible for the renewal of a portfolio of policies against an agreed set of targets and in accordance with the Company's business plan and maintaining and developing relationships with clients which maximise retention and the selling of all appropriate products and services.

What you will do:

  • Negotiate and secure renewal of a portfolio of policies in accordance with Company strategy.
  • Manage and develop relationships with clients which enable growth of your portfolio.
  • Maximise the selling of all appropriate products and services.
  • Provide an appropriate Account Management service plan to include regular meetings with presentations of the full range of products.
  • Develop close relationships with brokers to ensure their support.
  • Work within Company guidelines and authority levels.

Market knowledge:

  • Expert know-how in specifics of market
  • Ability to build extensive network with close contacts to brokers, market players and opinion leaders

Business expertise:

  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with board level personnel, both internally and externally.

Interpersonal skills:

  • Ability to liaise and build relationships with members of other core functions
  • Ability to sell effectively against the competition.
