Location: Cork (site travel across region) | Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: €45,000-€60,000 DOE
The Company
An energy services contractor delivering solar PV and energy efficiency projects across residential and commercial sectors.
Work is carried out directly with clients and through funded schemes, with projects ranging from individual house installs to larger commercial rooftops.
Install teams are site‑based, working on live buildings with a steady flow of projects across Cork and surrounding counties.
The Role
The Solar PV Installer will be part of an on‑site crew responsible for installing rooftop systems safely and to specification.
- Install solar PV systems, including panels, mounting systems, wiring and associated equipment
- Measure, assemble and fit components to required standards and drawings
- Work from installation designs and schematic layouts
- Carry out works on a range of rooftop settings
- Work closely with other installers and electricians on site
- Maintain a tidy, organised and safe working area
- Deal professionally with customers during installs
- Follow all health & safety procedures, particularly when working at height
This is a hands‑on role with most of your time spent on rooftops and active sites.
The Person
This role is best suited to someone comfortable working at height, ideally with a roofing or carpentry background.
- Experience in solar PV installation and/or roofing/carpentry (roofing experience is a strong requirement)
- Good understanding of roof structures, fixing methods and working at height
- Backgrounds may include Roofer, Carpenter, PV Installer, or General Operative with roofing experience
- Full, clean Irish driving licence
- Willing to travel across Cork and nearby areas
- Safe Pass, Manual Handling and Working at Heights (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, practical and safety‑aware approach to work
