Senior Quantity Surveyor (Progression to Commercial Manager)

Location: Kildare | Full-Time | Permanent

Salary: €90,000 - €120,000 DOE + Pension & Healthcare

The Company

A specialist engineering contractor delivering critical electrical infrastructure across major projects in Ireland and Europe. Working with leading clients in data centres, life sciences and energy sectors, the business is experiencing strong growth and has a significant pipeline of technically complex projects. As part of this growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a clear pathway into a Commercial Manager role.


The Role

This Senior Quantity Surveyor role offers the opportunity to take ownership of major electrical and infrastructure projects, while developing into a broader commercial leadership position in the short term.

  • Lead commercial management of projects from tender through to final account
  • Manage project budgets, cost plans, cashflow forecasts and reporting
  • Handle contract administration, variations, claims and final accounts
  • Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors within the team
  • Contribute to procurement strategy and subcontractor management
  • Work closely with senior leadership on commercial performance and decision-making
  • Gain exposure to multi-project oversight in preparation for Commercial Manager progression


The Person

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Strong experience in electrical, M&E or specialist engineering projects
  • Background with electrical contractors, infrastructure or data centre projects advantageous
  • Proven ability to manage projects commercially from start to finish
  • Strong commercial acumen with ambitions to move into a leadership role
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
