The company runs more than 160 events annually and owns some of the most recognised brands within the sector, combining strong audience communities with high quality content and commercially successful event products.
The Role
This is a commercially focused Senior Marketing Manager position with ownership across a large scale events portfolio and responsibility for leading a growing marketing function.
You will drive multi channel event marketing campaigns across awards, conferences, and hospitality events, with full accountability for campaign performance, audience growth, engagement, and commercial delivery.
Alongside campaign ownership, you will lead and mentor a small marketing team, helping improve campaign performance, reporting standards, systems, and operational efficiency across the wider department.
The role requires someone comfortable balancing strategy and execution, combining strong campaign delivery with stakeholder management, data analysis, and leadership capability.
You will also play a key role in process improvement, CRM optimisation, audience insight, and digital transformation projects across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver multi channel marketing campaigns across a portfolio of up to 25 events annually
* Drive attendance, engagement, and award entries across multiple brands and audiences
* Analyse campaign performance and deliver insight led recommendations to improve results
* Produce detailed post campaign reporting and event performance analysis
* Manage and mentor two direct reports, supporting development and campaign delivery
* Collaborate with editorial and digital teams to support wider subscription and audience growth initiatives
* Support digital transformation and website migration projects across the events portfolio
* Create engaging campaign content across email, social media, websites, video, and downloadable assets
* Conduct audience research and gather attendee feedback to improve future events
* Improve marketing processes, workflows, and operational efficiency across the team
* Manage CRM systems and database best practice, including data quality and segmentation
* Support onboarding and systems training for new team members
* Work cross functionally with events, editorial, and senior leadership teams
Candidate Background
* Experience in B2B event marketing within conferences, exhibitions, awards, or media events
* Previous experience managing campaigns across multiple event products simultaneously
* Strong understanding of multi channel marketing and audience acquisition strategies
* Experience managing or mentoring junior marketers
* Confident analysing campaign performance and presenting insights to stakeholders
* Strong copywriting and content creation skills
* Commercially minded with a focus on growth and continuous improvement
* Experience using CRM systems and marketing platforms
* Comfortable operating in fast paced, deadline driven environments
