Role responsibilities

• Design, build, and test new backend features across a scalable SaaS platform.
• Develop and maintain high-performance, high-volume transaction systems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and deliver new functionality.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and design patterns.
• Debug, test, and optimise existing functionality to improve performance and reliability.
• Contribute to agile development processes, participating in sprint planning and delivery cycles.
• Support long-term product development through thoughtful architecture and system design.

Candidate background

• 5+ years' experience developing backend applications using Node.js.
• Experience working with MongoDB or other non-relational databases.
• Proven experience building scalable, distributed systems and high-volume applications.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and engineering best practices.
• Comfortable working in agile environments and collaborating across teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, product-focused mindset.
