Mechanical Engineer - Heavy Industry
Location: Drogheda, Co. Louth | Permanent | Full-Time
An exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading manufacturer in the building materials sector. This role is based at a modern production facility and offers long-term career progression within a global organisation.
The Role
You will be responsible for plant maintenance and large-scale improvement projects, ensuring high levels of reliability, safety, and efficiency. This includes managing preventative and predictive maintenance, planning major shutdowns, troubleshooting, and overseeing contractors. You will also scope, design, and deliver capital projects from installation through to commissioning.
The Person
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5+ years' experience in heavy industry
- Strong technical and commercial skills
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
What's on Offer
- Base Salary: €60,000 - €65,000
