MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - MANUFACTURING

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join a well-established food manufacturing operation based in Donegal. This role offers strong long-term stability, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to lead and develop a site-based engineering function.

THE COMPANY:

Our client operates within the food manufacturing sector, supplying high-quality products to customers nationwide. With a strong emphasis on operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement, they are investing in leadership within their maintenance and engineering team to support ongoing production demands.

THE ROLE:

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead and manage the on-site engineering and maintenance function, ensuring plant reliability, compliance, and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, managing, and supporting the engineering and maintenance team on site.

• Overseeing all repairs, breakdown response, and preventative maintenance activities across production equipment.

• Planning and scheduling preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.

• Conducting engineering and maintenance audits to ensure compliance with safety, food, and engineering standards.

• Ensuring all maintenance work is completed in line with health & safety and regulatory requirements.

• Managing spare parts inventory, ensuring critical spares availability and cost control.

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

THE PERSON:

Our client is seeking candidates who:

• Have previous experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.

• Come from an electrical or mechanical trade background.

• Have experience leading or supervising maintenance or engineering teams.

• Possess strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

• Are familiar with preventative maintenance systems and compliance requirements.

• Have a proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance leadership.

THE PACKAGE:

• Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 (DOE)

• Pension: 6% company contribution

• Full-time, permanent position
