Job Title: Lead Business Development Manager

Location: London

Job Overview:

As a Lead Business Development Manager, you will manage an end-to-end sales process while guiding a team of three Business Development Executives (BDEs) to achieve their own metrics and success. You will also lead by example, focusing on driving personal and team performance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Achieve an individual revenue target: Carry a personal revenue target while driving team success.

· Coaching and development: Host weekly training sessions to address skills gaps and improve team knowledge.

· Market growth: Identify and lead business development activity in line with divisional targets.

· 1-2-1 Coaching/Reviews for BDE team: Conduct regular 1-2-1 sessions to help BDEs exceed KPIs.

· Meetings: Attend and manage your own meetings and those booked by your team.

· New starters: Be involved in the induction process for new starters in the BDE role.

· Client communication: Manage all client communications, including interview follow- ups, offer delivery, and influencing decisions.

· Hosting assessment days: Lead virtual and in-person assessment days.

· Team office visits: Travel to Manchester for team visits (overnight stays may be required).

· CRM management: Lead by example in ensuring Salesforce data is accurate and up to date.

· LinkedIn strategy: Drive team members' LinkedIn efforts to build personal brands and enhance social selling.

· Conducting interviews: Coordinate and participate in first and second interviews alongside Ben Illingworth.

· Forecasting: Play an active role in forecasting, with growing responsibility for divisional success.

· Leadership collaboration: Participate in monthly meetings with the leadership team to discuss performance, strategy, and divisional needs.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours:

· 3+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record in identifying and securing new business.

· Degree educated (2:2 or above).

· Sales Leadership Skills: No prior experience required; we'll support you in this development. However, we want to see some knowledge and passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing a sales team.

· Communication and Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders, both written and verbal.

· Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify growth opportunities, plan strategically, and align business development activities with divisional goals.

· Relationship Building: Proven ability to build strong client relationships and maintain a high level of client engagement.

· Time Management and Organisation: Excellent time management skills to balance individual revenue targets and team responsibilities.

· Adaptability: Able to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-based environment.

· Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRMs like Salesforce and other sales technology tools such as Cognism, LinkedIn and SourceWhale.
