Key Account Manager - Electronic Contract Manufacturers

The Role: The role of Key Account Manager will see you partnering with a vast array of contract manufacturing clients across the North & Midlands areas of the UK to deliver bespoke electronic component package solutions to their designs for their customer base. You will be selling to Design Engineers, Procurement Teams, and working alongside international manufacturing partners to provide the best electronic component supply solutions within any product which needs those kinds of parts. This is a project led role and therefore requires a lot of organisation, project management skills, and relationship attributes to be successful. You will conduct quarterly business reviews with your clients, ensure optimal SKU coverage across projects, and managed the end to end sales & supply process.

The Key Account Manager role is focused on account development and around 70% of your time will be improving working relationships with clients across the region of which you will have around 60 core accounts. The aim of this role is to expand the UK team and grow the Northern regions. This is a complex sell and thus The Key Account Manager is therefore given all the support required from Marketing, Inside Sales, and Engineering Teams to deliver the best solutions in the market to increase share in the UK.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Have a background in Electronics or Electronic Engineering sales
  • An appreciation of electronic technology
  • Have the ability to have commercial & technical discussions
  • Has the ability to read technical drawings
  • A real people person who has good communications skills
  • Comes from a project led sales background
  • Full & Clean Driving licence

Salary: up to £50k basic salary + £10k-14k OTE + Pension + Healthcare + Hybrid Company Car + Phone/Laptop + 22 days holiday
