Key Account Manager

The Role: Looking for a new remote sales role where you can earn uncapped commission paid monthly, have autonomy over your diary, and are managing major accounts worth millions? This could be the one for you.

We are working with a leading European manufacturer of automated car wash solutions & equipment which you would typically see in petrol station forecourts and garages across the UK. As a Key Account Manager you would be managing a portfolio of national clients who have existing assets on their property or are looking to install new equipment as part of a new-build or renovation projects across their estate in the UK. Your client base will consist of major petroleum forecourt operating businesses, the likes of BP & MFG to name a few. The Key Account Manager will inherit around 5 or 6 of these Key Accounts to drive forward. A big part of your role will be asset management and ensuring you are always ahead of the curve when it comes to their needs in installing new car washing equipment nationally. 85% of your time will be in an out and out account management function, however you will also have new business targets every quarter to look at breaking into new accounts such as the supermarket petrol station market.

This is a very exciting position in so much as the market is massively swaying away from the hand car wash model which has grown in the UK over the past 10 years and moving very rapidly back to high-quality, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective automated car cleaning solutions. There is a lot of investment into new forecourts, EV charging hubs, and jet-wash parks across the UK in order to clean & maintain the 35 million cars on our roads - this Key Account Manager role has been born out of growth and is a brand new position to add to the existing Key Accounts Team. There is a superb opportunity for career progression here in the coming years with the likes of Head of Key Accounts or National Sales Manager being possible pathways for the right person.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Have a Key Account Management background dealing with long sales processes
  • Are a natural relationship builder at head office levels
  • An organised, structured, and motivated sales professional
  • Understands consultative selling processes
  • Appreciate longer sales cycles, preferably within capital sales or asset finance related sales processes
  • Someone who is comfortable with national travel where required
  • Clean driving license

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE + uncapped commissions (c. £15k year 1 paid monthly) + Hybrid or Electric vehicle + pension + 20 days holiday + Phone + Laptop + iPad
