The Role

An established, national food and non-food catering supplier is seeking a Key Account Manager to join its commercial team. The role requires a blend of new business development and key account management, with a strong focus on growing existing customers while identifying and converting new opportunities within the territory.

Covering the South West, you will operate within a structured call cycle, attending multiple customer meetings per day. You'll act as a one-stop foodservice partner to consortium groups, with end users across education, healthcare, and hospitality. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys both winning new business and developing long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of high-value key accounts
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities within existing and target accounts
  • Build strong relationships with consortium groups and key stakeholders
  • Lead and support bids and tenders for mid-market customers
  • Deliver sustainable revenue growth through structured sales activity

Candidate Profile

  • Proven background in new business development and key account management
  • Field sales experience within foodservice preferred; alternatively sales into HORECA
  • Strong new business and account management experience
  • Ideally based in or around Bristol or Exeter
  • Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)

Package

  • Basic Salary: £39,000 - £43,000
  • Bonus: Up to £15,000
  • Car Allowance: £6,500 or company car
