HEAD OF PROJECTS
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a senior Head of Projects to join a well-established manufacturing and engineering organisation delivering complex, project-driven solutions into regulated and infrastructure-led sectors. This is a highly influential leadership role with responsibility for shaping project delivery standards, governance, and performance across the business.
THE COMPANY:
Our client is a long-standing manufacturing organisation delivering engineered and modular solutions to critical industries. Operating in technically complex environments, they are known for high standards of safety, quality, and delivery. Continued growth has created the need for a senior leader to take ownership of project execution across the organisation.
THE ROLE:
The Head of Projects will take full responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the projects function, ensuring consistent, efficient, and high-quality delivery from contract award through to final handover.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing overall leadership and direction to the projects and project management teams.
Establishing and embedding project governance, standards, and best practices across the business.
Overseeing the delivery of multiple concurrent projects across manufacturing and engineered solutions.
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
Managing risk, change control, and commercial performance in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
Acting as a senior point of contact for clients, consultants, and key supply chain partners.
Developing project capability through mentoring, coaching, and team development.
Driving continuous improvement in project execution, reporting, and resource planning.
Collaborating closely with operations, engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure alignment.
This role carries significant authority, visibility, and influence and will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the organisation's project delivery capability.
THE PERSON:
Our client is seeking candidates who:
Have extensive experience in senior project leadership roles within manufacturing, engineering, or project-led environments.
Possess a strong background in project governance, programme management, and stakeholder engagement.
Are commercially astute with experience managing budgets, contracts, and risk.
Have led and developed multi-disciplinary project teams.
Are confident operating at senior leadership level and influencing business-wide outcomes.
Hold a degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline (chartered status advantageous).
Experience in modular manufacturing, fabrication, or complex engineered projects would be highly beneficial.
THE PACKAGE:
Salary: €90,000 - €100,000
