Head of Marketing

The Role: The Head of Marketing role will report to the Marketing Director and work alongside the Head of Sales & Head of Production for this entire portfolio. Working on the company's fastest growing portfolio of events, the objective is to ensure that targets are met, and growth opportunities are maximised. This is a heavily strategic role that requires the successful candidate to produce action plans for all campaigns, forecast, review and report on the effectiveness of marketing activities. On a day-to-day basis the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and motivating the existing marketing team. The role itself will be working closely with multiple internal teams to deliver on all areas of the commercial strategy.

Responsibilities for the position of Head of Marketing include:

  • Creating and implementing the overarching marketing strategy for the event portfolio.
  • Managing and upskilling the team.
  • Acting as the commercial intermediary between internal teams and stakeholders
  • Attend meetings with partners - media, sponsors and associations
  • Developing relationships with key partners to maximise commercial opportunities and relationships

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • At least 5 years' experience of B2B marketing experience within the events sector
  • At least 2 years' experience of managing a team of 3+ individuals
  • Extensive knowledge of the B2B exhibitions and publishing markets
  • Incredible time management and excellent communication skills across all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • The ability to audit current and implement new processes and procedures
  • Strong management abilities to help build, coach and mentor a team

The Package for Head of Marketing:

  • Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
  • Bonus
