Graduate Sales Development Representative

What do the company do?

Working with companies across multiple industries, this client specialise in saving millions of pounds through research & development tax relief.

Using Intellectual Property services, they consult on which product ideas could turn into patents, helping clients understand the value they have in their products and thus finding government schemes to support that.

Turning over around £10 million per year at present, they have enjoyed consistent year-on-year growth and are now looking to add to an already strong graduate sales team.

What would my role be?

Joining as an SDR, your role will be all about developing leads. Using targeted methods of outreach, your day-to-day will involve conversations with people from different industries, looking to find out about their needs regarding such services before presenting the solution that your company offers.

Working closely with the senior sales team, you will book final meetings for BDM's (Business Development Managers) to sit, receiving commission yourself when a deal is made. There is no time limit on how quickly you can progress to being a BDM. Some people have previously done it within one year.

This is a fully graduate role. There is no sales experience needed, you will receive huge amounts of training, support & development as you move through the role.

What would an ideal candidate look like?

  • Someone that could commute to central London would be a good start!
  • Educated to degree level - finance/economics degrees are desirable but not necessary.
  • A grafter - sales isn't always easy, there are huge rewards to be found, but you have to put the work in.
  • Someone confident & personable, it's a relationship building game!
