Opportunity to join a well-established Irish organisation within the scientific and technical services sector, as our client looks to grow their field-based engineering team across the Munster region.

Role:
The successful Field Service Engineer will be based in the Cork/Munster region, with travel required nationwide as part of the role. You will work as part of a specialist service team, responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and support of technical equipment and systems in customer environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Installation, commissioning, and servicing of equipment on-site
- Carrying out calibration, validation, and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing faults and performing repairs across a range of systems
- Providing breakdown support and technical troubleshooting
- Ensuring all activities are performed in line with quality and regulatory requirements
- Completing detailed documentation and service reports
- Working independently while contributing to a wider service team
Person:
This role will suit candidates with field service or calibration experience looking to join a structured and growing organisation.
- Qualification in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or instrumentation engineering preferred
- Experience in a field service, calibration, or instrumentation environment is highly desirable
- Strong fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills
- Exposure to regulated environments or quality standards is advantageous
- Good IT skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative
- Full, clean driving licence essential
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required
