I'm supporting a long-standing engineering and technology business in their search for an Electronics Design Manager to oversee a team of seven and drive forward innovation across new and existing product lines.
What You'll Be Doing
- Guiding, supporting, and developing a team of seven electronics engineers to deliver strong technical output.
- Overseeing day-to-day design activities and providing practical, hands-on technical direction.
- Coordinating multiple design projects, ensuring smooth progress from early concept through to final delivery.
- Reviewing and refining electronic designs, schematics, PCB layouts, and prototypes.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance current products, development processes, and tools.
- Working closely with internal teams such as project management, software, mechanical, production, and commercial functions.
- Contributing to recruitment, team structuring, and performance development.
What You Bring
- Solid background in electronics design with practical, time-served experience - Degree ideal
- Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise an engineering/design team.
- Confidence working with embedded systems, PCB design tools, and modern development methods.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several projects at once.
- Clear communication style and the capability to work closely with director-level leadership.
- Full right to work without the need for sponsorship
