Location: Dublin | Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: €40,000 - €45,000 + Pension + Discounted Healthcare
The Company
Our client is a long-established supplier of construction and building materials to the Irish construction market, with a nationwide customer base and multiple locations across Ireland. The business has grown steadily over many years and is well regarded for its technical capability, product range, and support provided to design teams and contractors.
The Role
As CAD Technician, you will support the technical sales function, splitting your time equally between CAD/design work and technical support activities. This is a varied, office-based role with strong exposure to live construction projects. Responsibilities include:
- Producing 2D CAD drawings, details, and section layouts
- Completing thermal insulation, wind load, rainwater, and roofing calculations
- Designing tapered roofing schemes
- Preparing project specifications and technical documentation
- Supporting the technical sales team with design input and project queries
- Managing and updating technical and product documentation
The Person
This role would suit a CAD Technician or Architectural Technician with a technical mindset and an interest in the construction sector. We will consider candidates with:
- AutoCAD 2D experience (minimum 3 years preferred)
- Background in construction, building materials, or architectural technology
- Strong attention to detail and numerical ability
- Confidence working with calculations and technical data
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
The Package
- €40,000-€45,000 salary depending on experience
