Company Overview: A wholesale fishmonger providing fresh seafood straight from local markets to restaurants and hotels, dealing with some of
the most prestigious and well-known names. Established in 1984, with a turnover of £15 million, this is a company with a combination of experience and innovation, demonstrated by the year-on-year growth, along with exciting future plans. This is a company where the team work closely together and are all working their way towards the team target. There is a proven structure in place, where each part of your day has its own purpose. You will be a crucial piece of the growth targets.
Role Overview: As Business Development Manager, your role will involve winning new clients in the Manchester, North Wales, Chester, Liverpool area, Lake District to Huddersfield area. You will be joining a team of other Business Development Managers and working closely with the Account Managers. This is a field-based role, where you'll be out visiting potential new clients, speaking directly to head chefs about high-end, sustainably sourced seafood. You will research what independent restaurants, hotels, gastro pubs etc are in the region and are not already ordering, find the key decision makers within those companies and win their business. Due to this company being part of a much larger group, you'll have the benefit of promoting high quality foods at very competitive prices.
Responsibilities:
· Research businesses within the area not already a customer and build relationships with the key decision makers
· Get to know your products well and promote them to local businesses
· Win old clients back
· Work closely with the Account Managers to ensure the handover goes smooth and customer retention is maximised
· Contribute to the 28% year on year growth plans
Requirements:
· 1 year field sales experience
· Great relationship builder and a natural problem solver
· A drive to overachieve targets
The Package:
· £30,000 - 35,000 basic salary
· Additional approx. £2,000-3,000/quarter OTE
· 21 days + bank holidays
· Car allowance
