Business Development manager

Location: London

· Basic: £50k

· Plus OTE £20,000

· 2/3 Days pw in the City of London office

Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to engage directly with potential clients that align core competencies in market research (particularly end clients who commission market research, as opposed to other research agencies). This role will also involve re-establishing relationships with lapsed clients and spearheading initiatives to deepen client relationships through strategic outreach and innovative communication strategies.

This is a senior role, with the opportunity for the right candidate to become Head of Sales within 12-18 months with overall responsibility for company sales performance.

What you'll be doing

Strategic Account Development

· Identify and target potential strategic accounts that resemble our best existing clients, with an emphasis on engaging with end clients rather than other agencies to enhance competitiveness.

· Develop and execute entry strategies to establish and expand business relations.

Client Relationship Management

· Re-engage with lapsed accounts by analysing previous projects, trying to engage with existing contacts with new approaches and seeking new contacts where necessary.

· Schedule and manage client calls and meetings, ensuring thorough preparation.

· Follow up effectively after meetings to cultivate proposal and bidding opportunities.

Sales Pipeline Management

· Maintain and update the sales pipeline, ensuring that all client interactions are documented.

· Collaborate with the bidding team to ensure timely and accurate responses to requests to quote.

Communication and Marketing Strategy

· Evaluate and enhance the current communication strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement.

· Maintain and update a dynamic sales pipeline, documenting all client interactions.
