Business Development Manager
Candidate Location: Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield
The Role: The brand-new Business Development Manager role will cover the entirety of the UK in which you will be targeting national and independent Retailers, Wholesalers, and Distribution businesses. The Business Development Manager will be selling a range of chemicals and equipment used in the cleaning, preparation, and decontamination within various applications across engineering, industrial, and construction environments. Furthermore, you will be able to sell their huge range for commercial premises in the Hospitality & Catering sectors also. Our client already have a strong retail & distribution portfolio including the likes of B&Q, Screwfix, and Stax. Your role will be to pro-actively target similar businesses and add to that portfolio.
This is a growth role for our client which is designed to have a big impact on their growth plan for the next two-years and beyond. As such, this is a perfect opportunity for a field sales professional who has a couple of years experience under their belt, who isn't quite getting the opportunity to progress their career into major retail & distribution sales and wants that exposure and added responsibility. Our client are keen to train, develop, and coach someone and build their career.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Ideally have experience in industrial consumables, tools, PPE, chemical, FMCG sales
- Or, has sold chemicals & consumables for commercial cleaning applications
- Have sold into reseller, retail, or distribution accounts
- Are able to travel and comfortable with plenty of face to face customer contact
- Demonstrable track record in developing new business
- Someone who is prepared to go the extra mile
- Clean driving licence
Salary: £40k Basic Salary + monthly commission (£45k-50k total package year 1) + company car + phone/laptop + pension + 20 days holiday (rises to 25 after 2 years)
