Business Development Manager

The Role: Working for a well regarded lighting manufacturing & distribution organisation, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for a specific brand of high-end exterior lighting products which are manufactured in Italy and exclusively distributed by our client in the UK. This role will see you taking full autonomy over the superb range of exterior lighting products used within highways, car parks, footpaths, and parks.

The Business Development Manager's main task is to generate brand awareness through the delivery of CDP seminars, through lunch & learn sessions, and through business development activity with Consultants. Off the back of this process you will be generating specifications with Architects & Consultants which you will then follow through with Contractors and End User clients through to product delivery and installation. The Business Development Manager will be supported by a team of Regional Sales Managers within the wider business who can pass leads as well as Project Managers who can provide technical assistance. This is a National position but there will be a lot of opportunity in the South East to capitalise on early on.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Can demonstrate a track record of business development in exterior lighting products
  • Have worked with Consultants & Architects
  • Have the confidence to deliver CPD presentations
  • Professional & tenacious in approach
  • Someone who is used to selling a high-end product
  • Full & Clean Driving licence

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 basic salary DOE + Bonus + Car Allowance or Hybrid Car + 25 days holiday + pension scheme
