The Role: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for winning and developing new business opportunities. The types of companies you will be working with will be a mix of SME and Blue-Chip organisations within food & drink manufacturing, pharmaceutical, ecommerce and retail. Your clients and prospects will be based in South West of England so you must be happy to cover this as an overall territory. You will be selling bespoke corrugated packaging solutions, this is very much a solution sell, the sales process is not quick and involves influencing multiple stakeholders and working with design teams too. The area is well established and this is a great role for a high energy, highly credible and highly consultative sales professional.

Requirements: To be considered for the Business Development Manager role you must have:

  • Candidates that have previously sold corrugated packaging solutions at some point in their career may have an advantage
  • Must be willing to travel to Newport or Thatcham office occasionally for internal meetings
  • Minimum of 3 years B2B sales experience – selling a product to manufacturing sector

The Package for Territory Sales Manager

  • Basic: £40,000
  • Bonus / OTE: £10,000 – £12,500 on top

The Company: A global manufacturer of packaging solutions, a giant of an organisation, they have several business units in separate sectors – each a market leader and innovator, that provides sustainable recycled paper, corrugated cardboard packaging and flexible packaging manufacturing solutions.

Location: The Territory Sales manager will be covering the South West of England, therefore anybody based on patch will be considered for this role
