The Role: Our client is looking for an experienced catering sales professional to join their fast growing company! The Business Development Manager will draw on their previous experience selling catering by working with the client to create bespoke proposals based on their needs. Knowledgeable in how an event runs, the Business Development Manager will be able to ask relevant questions such as the number of staff needed and timings in assist them in their own proposal writing. Dealing with plenty of inbound enquiries, the ideal BDM will be highly organised and able to prioritise. The incoming BDM will be the first sales person to join the business and as such, the ability to work independently is essential.

The Future: This role provides amazing career progression, progressing into a Sales Manager following the BDM's success and as the company continues to grow! Progression to the Sales Manager title means the successful BDM will then have the opportunity to pass on their catering sales experience while also managing junior salespeople. Working with the two founders, the business Development Manager will assist in building the team of salespeople underneath them.

Requirements: To be a BDM in this exciting, well-established, and fast-growing company, you must have:

  • 3+ years of B2B catering sales experience.
  • Experience selling and running events.
  • Experience closing new business deals.
