Business Development Manager
The Role: Our client are a growing UK subsidiary of a European group who manufacture a broad range of push & pull cable connection solutions. They are looking to onboard a new Business Development Manager to cover the South Wales and M4 Corridor region. The role will see you selling a huge array of cable connectors for a number of different applications such as medical device manufacture, aerospace & defence equipment, and non-destructive testing equipment. The Business Development Manager will be working alongside OEM's within these sectors, designing in products with Design Engineers & System Integrators and then specifying those products to ensure they a procured and installed in the production run. This sales process can take 6-9 months on average. This is a technical, specification led, field sales role where a consultative & design-led approach are necessary for success.
The Business Development Manager will be supported by an in-house sales team who have a 98% retention rate for clients who have been brought on and won by the BDM's in the field. This ensures long-term success of clients brought on by the Business Development Manager. This is a new business focused role and there are plenty of target customers already to go at, in addition to the self-generated leads you can bring to the party.

They have a strong team in the UK and have a 5 year plan to increase their turnover considerably via continued growth. They have a strong team ethos and they look after their people. They look for energised, vibrant, team-orientated sales professionals who have the patience and tenacity for long sales cycles.
We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Have a B2B field sales background with a track record of project-based sales processes
- Can demonstrate a track record in selling to OEMs
- Understanding of the sales process and specifying product into complex projects
- Understand value-add sales
- Coming from an industrial, electrical, manufacturing, or MRO sales environment
- Professional in approach
- Full & Clean Driving licence
Salary: Up to £50,000 basic salary DOE + 10% annual bonus + BMW 330e + 25 days holiday + pension
Candidate Location: Bristol, Cardiff, Gloucester, Swindon
