We're working with a well-established data and technology business to hire a Business Development Manager into a high-growth division focused on logistics route optimisation software. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing sales professional to step into a true new business role with strong earning potential and structured support.

The Company

A £180m UK business with a global footprint and over 1,500 employees, this organisation is a recognised player in the data space. They are investing heavily in their logistics SaaS offering, providing advanced route optimisation solutions that deliver measurable cost and efficiency savings to major retailers and logistics providers.

The Role

This is a hunter-focused position, with 90% of your time dedicated to new business generation. You'll be targeting logistics and operations teams within enterprise organisations, engaging with stakeholders across transport, operations, and finance.

Deals are typically £30K+ ARR (c.£90K TCV), with 3-5 year contracts and a 4-6 month sales cycle. You'll be supported by pre-sales on all opportunities, with pipeline generated through a mix of self-sourcing, BDR support, and marketing activity.

The Candidate

  • Minimum 2 years' full-cycle B2B sales experience
  • Exposure to new business sales and prospecting
  • Structured and coachable approach to sales
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
  • Experience in SaaS, data, BI or consulting is advantageous but not essential

The Package

  • £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary
  • £65,000 - £90,000 uncapped OTE
