Business Development Manager - Waste Management Sector

South West based but National Remit

Basic Salary up to £35k dependent on experience + £50k OTE + Car Allowance

Are you a driven sales professional looking to make a real impact in a growing, essential industry? We're looking for a motivated and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join a forward-thinking waste management company.

The Role

You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This is a purely field based role, giving you autonomy and the freedom to manage your day independently, where you will take a hands-on approach, managing the full sales cycle-from prospecting through to closing deals and nurturing long-term partnerships.

You will take pride in pitching our clients comprehensive range of waste management solutions including general waste, recycling, industrial waste, food, clinical and confidential waste to a wide variety of potential clients. Given the nature of the proposition your target market could be any business that would require these services from from SME's to larger corporates, the hospitality sector, manufacturers, doctors/dental surgery's to name a few so there is a huge amount of opportunity!

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across target markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Deliver tailored waste management solutions to meet customer needs
  • Manage the full sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed targets
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and competitor activity
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery

About You

  • Proven experience in business development or sales (B2B preferred but open to B2C)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated & resilient with a results-driven mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline
