Business Development Manager
The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a globally recognised events organisation delivering large-scale B2B conferences and exhibitions. The business operates internationally with teams across multiple major cities and brings together leaders from across the healthcare ecosystem to collaborate, share insight and improve outcomes across healthcare systems.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for selling exhibition space and sponsorship packages to organisations working across healthcare technology, digital health, hospitals, patient safety solutions and specialist consultancies.
The role combines proactive new business development with the management and growth of existing client relationships. As a Business Development Manager, you will prospect and win new clients through outbound calls, LinkedIn engagement and targeted email outreach, while also developing long-term partnerships with senior stakeholders across the healthcare sector.
A key part of the role will also involve attending the live event, where the Business Development Manager will meet clients face-to-face, represent the brand within the healthcare community and secure repeat business by rebooking exhibitors on-site.
This is a varied sales position suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, working towards targets and being part of a dynamic commercial environment.
Requirements:
To be considered for the Business Development Manager role you should have:
- A minimum of 2 years' sales experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A motivated, organised and resilient approach to achieving targets
- Confidence in prospecting and developing new business opportunities
- Interest in healthcare innovation, patient safety or digital health
Experience within events or conferences would be advantageous but is not essential.
The Package for Business Development Manager:
- £35,000 - £42,000 basic salary
- 40% OTE paid monthly
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Hybrid working structure - four days in the office and half a day working from home
