Business Development Manager - Security Systems
Location: Newcastle & surrounding areas (ideally Newcastle-based)

The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to cover Newcastle and the wider North East. This is a field-based position suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, understanding operational challenges, and delivering tailored security solutions.
You will take ownership of your territory, developing new relationships while growing existing accounts. The role offers autonomy, flexibility and the opportunity to influence how the territory develops as the UK business expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business across construction, infrastructure, commercial property and related sectors
- Identify customer risks and requirements and recommend appropriate security solutions
- Sell a range of services including security systems, surveillance, alarms and on-site support
- Build trusted relationships with site managers, project leads and senior stakeholders
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to agreement
- Work closely with internal delivery teams to ensure solutions meet customer expectations
- Manage pipeline and territory performance with structure and transparency
About You
- Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within security or similar environments
- Experience selling into sectors such as construction, social housing, property management, FM, healthcare or public sector
- Background in security is beneficial but not essential
- Understanding of public procurement processes would be advantageous
- Comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role
- Full UK driving licence required
- Ideally based in or around Newcastle
Package & Benefits
- £45,000 basic salary
- £75,000-£80,000 OTE
- £5,000 car allowance
