Business Development Manager - Scotland
The Role:
This Business Development Manager position offers a chance to lead revenue generation for law professional body organisation while working within the UK's leading membership and branded content agency. You'll be part of a high-performing team that delivers significant annual revenue across digital, print, sponsorship and partnership channels, all within a culture built on trust, creativity and collaboration.
As a Business Development Manager, you'll build and strengthen relationships with advertisers and sponsors by understanding their goals and presenting tailored, consultative solutions that support retention and long-term growth. You'll drive new business activity through cold outreach, networking events, trade shows, referrals, inbound leads and strategic online research, developing a strong pipeline and securing commercially valuable opportunities.
You'll also contribute fresh product ideas, collaborating with your manager and the client to shape innovative commercial initiatives that respond to market needs. Accurate reporting, forecasting and KPI management will be central to the role, alongside presenting performance insights and future plans to internal stakeholders and client-side teams. Staying close to industry trends, competitor activity and wider sector developments, you'll help identify new opportunities and steer strategic responses. You will also represent the agency and its partners at relevant law events.
Requirements:
To be considered for the Business Development Manager role, you will need:
* At least 4 years' B2B sales experience with Media or Events.
* Experience in solution selling and consultative sales within advertising and sponsorship
* Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
* A proactive, commercially driven approach with the confidence to work autonomously
* Commutable distance to Edinburgh.

The Package for the Business Development Manager:
* £40,000-£45,000 basic salary
* 25% uncapped OTE
