Business Development Manager
The Role:
A compelling opening for a Business Development Manager to join a B2B publishing, media and events organisation focused on the UK legal sector. You will work within a well-established brand aimed at senior management and business leaders across leading UK and international law firms, supporting a community centred on legal-business management, operational insight and strategic development.
This Business Development Manager position is a 100% new-business role, selling commercial activations to technology providers - from innovative start-ups to mid-scale organisations, who offer AI tools, document-management systems, contract-lifecycle platforms, data solutions and more. Your prospects will typically include sales and marketing teams through to founders, all of whom are seeking access to an audience responsible for operations, strategy or tech adoption within law firms.
You will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close, building relationships, uncovering opportunities and representing the brand with confidence. The role suits someone commercially driven, proactive, and genuinely interested in technology or the legal-business landscape. Client interaction is encouraged, and travel for meetings is fully expensed.
Requirements for the Business Development Manager:
* Minimum 2 years' B2B new-business experience in media or events
* Experience selling into tech providers or professional-services environments
* Strong self-starter with a consultative, energetic approach
* Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including founders
* Interest in technology and/or the business side of the legal sector

The Package for Business Development Manager:
* £40,000-£45,000 basic salary
* £20,000 annual target, paid monthly
* 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, Christmas Eve and your birthday off
* Hybrid working, only 2 days pw in office after 6 months - West London
