Business Development Executive

Salary: £32k basic + OTE £28k (uncapped)

The Role: As a Business Development Executive (BDE) you will be helping our client to expand the bespoke, consultancy division of their market-leading economic research business. As a BDE, you will be responsible for:

  • Proactively sourcing new clients, qualifying internal leads & closing deals
  • Pitching bespoke macro-economic research projects to new customers and pre-existing clients
  • Targeting Asset Management firms, Private Equity firms and Investment Banks

Our client has a strong portfolio of existing F.S. clients who subscribe to their off-the-shelf, economic research products. Your role will be focussed on introducing their white-label, consultancy offering to both existing subscribing businesses and new prospects, through a combination of outbound lead generation and the qualification of inbound enquiries.

As a BDE in their London office, you’ll focus on both the UK and EU markets and will have the opportunity to travel internationally to network and attend industry events. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive, career-driven salesperson to take the next step in their B2B sales career. This role is well suited to a consultative, relationship-builder who believes in putting the customer first.

Requirements: For this Business Development Executive role, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • 1 year of B2B sales experience (required) – experience closing new business deals and running product demos is ideal
  • Either career experience, a relevant degree or a keen interest in Economics/Finance
  • A proactive, organised, articulate individual with a “customer-first” sales mentality
