Salary: £28-30k basic + OTE £10-15k in Year 1 (uncapped)

The Role: As a Business Development Executive (BDE) you will be focussed on selling subscriptions to an insights and data platform for the Consumer Finance market, helping banks and building societies to gain a better understanding into the industry and their competitors. As a BDE, you will be responsible for:

  • Proactively sourcing new clients, qualifying internal leads & closing deals
  • Conducting bespoke sales campaigns to Banks, Building Societies and Insurance firms
  • Attending sales meetings and helping to prepare quotes and proposals

The role of a BDE will initially be to source new business opportunities, setting-up qualified meetings and shadowing the Head of Sales in order to build up product, industry and sales knowledge. You will then take on full responsibility for the entire sales cycle, from lead gen through to close.

This position is well suited to a consultative, relationship-builder who is confident presenting, both face-to-face and virtually, within a corporate, financial services environment. It would be ideal for an experienced SDR looking to move into a closing, B2B sales role.

Their research and ratings service provides honest, free-to-use guidance for consumers. This is funded by selling consumer insight and benchmarking data to financial businesses, helping them to understand both their customers and competition better.

Based in London, our client is a small but expanding business, who are looking to hire their first Business Development Executive to the sales team to work alongside the Head of Sales to source and close new business opportunities.

Requirements: For this Business Development Executive role, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • 1-2 years of B2B sales experience (required) ideally in a new business telesales environment
  • Either career experience, a degree, or a strong interest in Finance
  • A presentable, ambitious, intelligent salesperson with a passion for a career in sales
  • A strong communicator with the ability to attend meetings and in-person events
