Area Sales Manager

The Role: The Area Sales Manager will be covering the region of the 'West Midlands' region which incorporates the SY, ST, TF, WS, WV, B postcode areas. In this role the Area Sales Manager will be selling a market-leading array of ground shoring, formwork/falsework, propping & jacking, and temporary bridging solutions on a hire basis into Main Contractors & Civil Engineering businesses working on a host of construction & infrastructure projects. The Area Sales Manager will be inheriting a region that has great growth potential, this is reflected in the bonus structure which is based on 1% of all sales turnover on an uncapped basis which means there is a lot of scope to increase your earnings in a big way.

The Area Sales Manager will have a superb back-office support function to help be successful. Our client have a fabulous in-house Design team who can turn quotes around quickly when they come in, a great marketing team, and Hire Controllers at each of their regional depots who can support on delivery of equipment when a sale is agreed.

The Company: Our client are a market-leader in their field and they boast the largest stockholding of product in the UK than any of their competitors, in addition to a dedicated installation team who operate nationally separating them from the rest of the market. They are a business who are investing heavily in their induction, onboarding, and ongoing training processes and do a lot to push internal promotions where possible.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Field sales experience within the construction sector
  • Have a track record with new business and account management
  • Have sold a technical, or design led, construction solution or Plant Hire
  • Full & Clean Driving licence
  • Are verse in selling direct to end users

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 Basic Salary + OTE year 1 is £7k (completely uncapped over target, earn 1% of all sales), Company Car (Hybrid options), 25 days plus stat, pension 10% with a 5% contribution, healthcare, PMI
