Area Sales Manager

The Role: The new Area Sales Manager position is covering the South of the UK between Cardiff and Essex across the M4 corridor region. The Area Sales Manager will be selling a vast range of electrical and electrification products from a number of market leading manufacturers. The product range includes cable, cable management, tools, and jointing equipment and is sold directly to end users across the electrical utilities, power, and rail sectors. The Area Sales Manager will be on the road four days per week covering the region, managing in excess of 300 spending accounts, focussing on the top 20-40 customers. The Area Sales Manager's role will be to get the very best out of these clients, as well as bringing on dormant, or low spending accounts, to their full potential over time. The Area Sales Manager will inherit a strong area that has huge potential to grow further, especially in the South East of the country.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Have a B2B field sales background working for a manufacturer or distributor in the electrical sector
  • Can demonstrate a track record in consultative selling
  • Understanding of the sales process and specifying product into complex projects
  • Understand value-add sales
  • Live in either the South West or South East
  • Prepared to be on the road 4-days per week with overnight stays
  • Professional in approach
  • Full & Clean Driving licence

Salary: Up to £50,000 basic salary DOE + 25% annual bonus + Plug-in hybrid car + 25 days holiday + pension
