The Role:
As Area Sales Manager, you will drive sales of Mobile, Portable, C&I and Material Handling Equipment product lines across the South UK territory (East Kent to West Cornwall, including London), reporting to the Sales Director. Selling primarily through distribution partners who supply end users and rental companies, you'll manage and grow existing accounts (around 80% of your time) while developing new business across standby generation, critical infrastructure and rental markets. You'll own budget and turnover targets for the area, carry out market and competitor analysis, manage negotiations and commercial offers, and keep Salesforce reporting up to date. Full support is provided from an in-house applications engineer and technical sales manager.
Location: South UK - South/Central candidate location ideal, with field travel across the territory daily.
Requirements:
- Sales professional selling power generation equipment
- Sales experience within a Mechanical and electrical product selling through or for a distributor.
- Strong understanding of market development and a genuine technical support/customer service focus
- A team player, able to mentor and share knowledge
- High work ethic, keen to learn and grow with the business
The Package:
* £45,000-£55,000 basic salary
