This role is ideal if you've already worked in your first sales role and you're now looking to step into a proper field-based position where you'll be trusted with your own territory, supported with training, and given real progression opportunities.

You'll join a well-established national business supplying essential products into the public sector. It's a great environment for someone who's motivated, curious, and ready to build a long-term sales career.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing your own sales territory across the North East down to the East Midlands
  • Winning new business while looking after an existing customer base
  • Building relationships with decision-makers in public sector organisations
  • Working towards clear sales and margin targets
  • Identifying opportunities to grow accounts through additional products and services
  • Acting as the main point of contact for your customers
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure great service
  • Learning how to manage pricing, negotiations, and longer-term contracts
  • Keeping customer activity, meetings, and plans up to date

What we're looking for

  • At least one previous sales role (field sales, internal sales, telesales, B2B, or account management)
  • Someone who wants to build a career in sales
  • Confident communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised, reliable, and comfortable managing your own diary
  • Commercial curiosity and a willingness to learn
  • Able to work independently, while knowing when to ask for support
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Must live in Newcastle or nearby
