Salary €50,000 - €80,000 basic (DOE) + 30% commission + company car
THE ROLE:
Reporting into the Business Unit Head, the Account Manager - Surgical Solutions will be responsible for driving growth across a national hospital territory in the Netherlands. This role focuses on promoting a specialist portfolio of surgical solutions predominantly used within operating theatres, while also supporting adoption across additional hospital departments.
You will manage some existing accounts while actively developing new business which is the main focus for the region, working closely with surgeons, theatre nurses, hernia specialists, infection prevention teams, pharmacists, procurement and senior clinical stakeholders. The role is highly field‑based, with an expectation of travel up to four days per week and one day allocated to administration and planning.
This position suits a commercially driven professional who enjoys building relationships, educating clinical teams and winning share in competitive hospital environments. Comprehensive onboarding, product training and ongoing development are provided.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years sales experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals or related healthcare markets
* Experience within hospital environments strongly preferred
* Exposure to operating theatres, surgical products or procedural selling highly advantageous
* Proven track record of winning new business and growing market share
* Ability to engage confidently with surgeons, theatre staff and procurement professionals
* Strong territory management, negotiation and relationship‑building skills
We will also consider:
* Clinicians (e.g. nurses) with operating theatre experience looking to transition into sales
* Commercial professionals from adjacent sectors (pharma, veterinary, dental) with evidence of consultative selling into clinical environments
* Dutch language fluency required; English proficiency essential
* Self‑motivated, resilient and able to work autonomously within a national territory
