Account Manager

The Role: Our client are recruiting for a brand new Account Manager in the South East area to split an existing territory and add real value to the strong customer relationships they have in the area. You will be selling a range of motors & controls which are used to ensure industrial doors, gates & barriers operate safely and securely - either sold direct to OEMs & Fabricators of gates & barriers or into end users using them as retrofit or repair parts. These automation products provide solutions within domestic, commercial, and some agricultural settings making now two customers the same. In addition, there is huge growth potential within the interior blinds market which provides an exciting new business element to this position.

The Account Manager will be dealing with all levels of decision maker from business owners, Design Engineers, and Procurement. This will be an account management heavy role to being with (80%), and as those relationships bed-in you will be doing more new business activity in year two in order to capitalise on that initial success. There is a lot of autonomy in the new business activity which will require a growth mindset, thinking outside of the box, and underlined by commercial acumen. In addition to dealing with OEM's/Manufacturers, there is also scope to be targeting M&E Consultants to get more specification work into the pipeline.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • A field sales background selling into SME OEMs, manufacturers, or fabrication type businesses
  • Have a 'customer first' attitude and enhance the buying journey
  • Understand solution selling concepts
  • Full & Clean Driving licence
  • A background in account management with ongoing new business
  • Working in a Team environment before is key

Salary: £35,000-44,000 Basic Salary + £6k OTE, Electric/Hybrid Car, Pension, Laptop, Mobile, 25 days' holiday + stats.
